Welcome to the Family

We've come a long way in a short space of time and this is just the beginning!

Back when Jocky was training to be a barber, he struck up conversation with fellow barber and boxer Michael Holmes about their passion for boxing and how it would be great if there was a facility in Brechin for the youngsters.

Around April 2019, Jocky set up a Facebook page for his idea and to generate interest.  He was overwhelmed with the response from the community.

The search for a suitable building then began.  It seemed like a long search but one random evening Jocky and his wife Lynsey passed Ebenezer Hall which was fairly run down and neglected but something caught Jocky's eye and he could see its hidden potential.

From there, the real hard graft started to get the building to where it needed to be.  Amazingly the community and a lot of the local youngsters came together to help out where needed and in October 2019 the club was opened.

The club has since continued to go from strength to strength and we had our first members compete at the Scottish Juniors and School Boy Competition down in Motherwell in September 2021 with Brannon Brymer taking gold and Alfie Murray taking Silver.

We can't wait to see what the future holds.
